Another allegation against Rajapaksa sons

The Citizen Power Against Corruption and Waste organization has reportedly filed a complaint with the Bribery or Corruption Commission against Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Rohitha Rajapaksa, alleging that they illegally acquired a 135-acre tea estate.

It is said that the property includes 135 acres of land in the Kelly Group Tea Estate owned by the Osa Plantation Company in the Dolospaghiya area and a large old bungalow built in 1918.

It has also been revealed that this property was purchased with the intervention of Aruna Withanage alias Kajja and Neville Wanniarachchi, who were shot dead in the past.  The Citizens' Power Against Bribery, Corruption and Waste organization states that it has all the documents related to the transaction, including the deed bearing registration number 1386 and the plan bearing number 787, related to the land in question. 

The organization, which suspects that the accused party does not have the means to purchase such a large property, has requested the Bribery or Corruption Commission to investigate whether the huge amount of money they spent to purchase the property was ill-gotten assets and take legal action.
