Chamara Sampath joins China tour by court order

Badulla District MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, who was recently banned from the Parliament Chamber for one day due to his unruly behavior in Parliament, has been able to join the China tour.

This opportunity has arisen for him after the court took steps to temporarily lift the foreign travel ban imposed on him, following a request made by him to the court.

Accordingly, Chamara Sampath was able to join the 20-member Sri Lankan parliamentary delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Mass Media Kaushalya Ariyaratne.

The training program, organized by the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission of China for Sri Lankan parliamentarians, is scheduled to be held until June 5.

The program will educate Sri Lankan parliamentarians about China's governance, economic development, infrastructure modernization, technological innovation, green development, and sustainable development initiatives.
